We have assembled an eclectic selection of video courses with some of the most knowledgeable, interesting and passionate Hebrew teachers in the world. Each teacher is unique and has his own fascinating take on Hebrew, but one thing that unites them all is their love for the language and culture of ancient Israel.

Learning Biblical Hebrew Together
Ancient Hebrew is a language rich in metaphor, subtle meaning and expression of mood and emotion. It is also not a difficult language to learn, once one understands its secret: everything is based on three-letter roots and words are made by forming permutations of these basic roots.
We will use advanced memory techniques that I personally developed over years of learning and then teaching Hebrew, which was my passion from the first day I stepped foot on the old stones of Jerusalem. We will explore grammar not as a dry, repetitive set of rules, but as the expression of specific moods emanating from the underlying Hebrew roots. We will see the relationship that Hebrew has to other languages, both ancient and modern, such as Aramaic, Geez, Ugaridic, Greek, Latin, and, yes, English. (Did you know that the English word “scale” can be traced directly back to the Hebrew word “shekel”, meaning “a weight”?) And most of all, we will have fun exploring together a language that has been and continues to be one of the most important languages known to man: the language of Bible.
Throughout all of this, it is my sincere wish and prayer that my love and enthusiasm for the language will rub off on you, and galvanize you to reach new heights in your understanding of Hebrew.
